Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, and SQL Service on Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze user needs, and develop technical solutions.
- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using Angular JS and other relevant front-end technologies.
- Implement APIs to integrate various systems and external services into the application.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance and scalability through performance tuning and code optimization techniques.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the application's performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless code merging and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues reported by users or discovered during testing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in full stack development, and propose innovative solutions to improve our development processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in full stack web development using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
- Proficiency in Angular JS and other relevant front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Angular version would also do as person can be trained on AngularJS & should be ready to work on AngularJS for this position.
- Experience working with SQL Service on Azure, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating APIs into web applications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including code merging, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools (such as Azure DevOps).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members across different time zones.
- Availability for 4-5 hours of overlap time with Central Standard Time (CST).
Preferred:
- Experience with .NET Native (4.7 and 5), C# & Angular Experience and Azure Cloud Services is must 4-5 hrs of overlap time with CST. Engineer is expected to do daily check-ins and updates through Jira/DevOps etc.
- Exposure to other calculation libraries like Matlab and other Fortran based libraries through REST API.
Additional Requirements:
- Reading mockups from Figma is a plus.
- Experience integrating with Google maps would be an advantage. Especially they could use a combination of ESRI and Google maps for location-based services and calculations.
- Looking for experience in handling high volume data and near real-time analysis (presentation).
- Experience working on engineering projects would help.
