Description
Work Experience: 5 to 6 years
Skills: Oracle XStore POS development, Java, and Oracle Database.
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on XStore Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and deployment of Oracle XStore POS solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java development, Oracle Database, and deep experience working with Oracle XStore POS systems in a retail environment. This is a lead role with both development and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of Oracle XStore POS solutions.
- Work closely with business analysts, QA, and project managers to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Guide and mentor a team of developers working on XStore customization and integration.
- Develop custom modules and enhancements using Java and Oracle XStore frameworks.
- Integrate XStore with back-end retail systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, payment gateways, inventory systems).
- Optimize and maintain database components using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Own technical design documentation, code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deployment, testing, and production support.
- Stay updated with Oracle Retail/XStore updates and industry trends to drive innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle XStore POS development.
- Strong programming skills in Java, including core concepts, OOPs, and multithreading.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience integrating XStore with other retail systems and third-party services.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and delivering enterprise-grade POS solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Good to Have:
- Exposure to other Oracle Retail modules like Oracle SIM, RMS, or ORPOS.
- Familiarity with retail store operations, POS hardware, and peripherals.
- Experience with version control (Git), build tools (Maven/Ant), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of REST/SOAP web services, XML/JSON formats.
